
ESD includes pausing, slowing down and reconnecting to body and breath.
Awareness of and reconnection with breath, and connection to the ground, (establishing a relationship to gravity) increases a felt sense of stability and support.
Grounding in the here and now (bringing attention to the present) helps someone move out of the original trauma.
